OLIVE OIL CULTURE
The attachment to one’s roots, production rigour and passion that animate Tenuta Chiaramonte are the fruit of the agricultural culture of Sicily and the Hyblean land in particular, which boasts a millenary tradition of olive oil production, started by Greek colonists and later interpreted by the Arabs.
The company, with its extensive olive groves and modern oil mill, is located in the sunny countryside of Ragusa, amidst hills sloping down towards the sea and dry stone walls that have become a World Heritage Site.

Tenuta Chiaramonte produces and initials organic extra virgin olive oils, including two DOP and one IGP, which excel in quality and organoleptic characteristics, also recognised and awarded in prestigious international competitions.
The oils, in their four versions, are enclosed and offered to the market in bottles distinguished by very special artistic labels, which feature reproductions of the masks typical of Ragusa Baroque.
Milk and containers designed for all other consumption needs also complete the catalogue.
Tenuta Chiaramonte’s Distinto is characterised by a medium fruitiness, with balanced notes of bitterness and spiciness, a deep green colour and a descriptor reminiscent of green tomato.

Cultivar: Tonda Iblea, picked at the right degree of ripeness
Tenuta Chiaramonte’s Galante is characterised by a medium fruity odour with a herbaceous sensation and a green colour. The taste has notes of bitterness and spiciness, with a descriptor that can be traced back to artichoke.
Tenuta Chiaramonte’s Amabile is a blend dedicated to the most delicate palates, it has a greenish colour tending to yellow, the perceptions are of a light fruitiness with slight notes of bitterness and spiciness.
Cultivars: Biancolilla, Moresca, Verdese, picked at the right degree of ripeness
Tenuta Chiaramonte’s Primizio is a well-balanced oil, with perceptions of medium ripe fruitiness and medium notes of bitterness and spiciness, to which are added sensations of artichoke and green tomato.

Tenuta Chiaramonte’s work cycle relies exclusively on an in-house 0 km supply chain, which starts with cultivation, about 100 hectares tended olive by olive tree, enhances production in a mill with sophisticated technology, and is perfected in storage and bottling.
