How can we help you
Everything you need to know about extra virgin olive oil, shipping, products and visits to our estate in Ragusa.
All of our extra virgin olive oil is entirely produced on our farm in Ragusa, in contrada Gisolfo, at the heart of the Iblei Mountains. The olives are harvested across our 100 hectares of organic groves and pressed in our own mill within six hours of picking.
DOP Monti Iblei is a protected designation of origin recognised by the European Union, reserved for extra virgin oils produced exclusively in the Monti Iblei territory (provinces of Ragusa, Siracusa and Catania) under strict rules on cultivars, cultivation methods and sensory characteristics. It guarantees authenticity, quality and origin.
Our groves are planted with five native Sicilian cultivars: Tonda Iblea (the queen of the Monti Iblei, intensely fruity), Moresca, Nocellara del Belice, Verdese and Biancolilla. Each variety contributes unique sensory notes to our blends.
Yes. The entire estate is certified organic under EU Regulation 848/2018. We do not use pesticides, synthetic herbicides or chemical fertilisers: we rely on traditional agronomic practices, cover crops and respect for the natural cycles of the plant.
A high-quality extra virgin olive oil keeps its optimal sensory profile for about 18 months after bottling, if stored correctly. Beyond that it is still safe to consume but gradually loses aromas, polyphenols and freshness. We recommend consuming it within the date on the label.
Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally between 14°C and 18°C. Keep it away from heat sources (oven, stove) and always close the bottle tightly after use to limit oxidation.
